June and July typically don’t see major releases, it’s E3 time and all the announcements are coming out left, right and center to hype up the fall and winter releases. Bethesda are releasing Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset on numerous platforms and Wolfenstein II on the Switch, Ubisoft are releasing The Crew 2, the Nintendo Switch will see Mario Tennis Aces hit the game court. What is everyone looking forward to?

NISA Press Event Details

NIS America had their press event in the early hours of the morning today, there are announcements, trailers and you bet your behind there are RPG’s. Not to mention one, SUDA51!

There are a ton of information to get through so hopefully I’m going to successfully deliver all the key information to you in bite-size chunks.

Happy Birthdays is the world building game in which players will create an ecosystem and watch as the creatures inhabiting their world grow and evolve. It comes to Nintendo Switch in Summer 2018.

It was stated that The Longest Five Minutes is coming out on February 13th, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch and provided a short sneak-peak into the story. You can check out our review for the title here.

Do you want to play a game about a princess who is greedy for money? Then Penny-Punching Princess is for you and it isn’t far off, launching April 3rd on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation Vita.

Touhou Genso Wanderer -Reloaded- is the definitive version of Touhou Genso Wanderer, it includes all of the adventures in the original, all previously released DLC and newly added features. New content provides extra characters and additional scenarios. It releases on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 later this year.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is being released on March 27th for PlayStation 4. The action role-playing game is said to be similar to the original but with updated gameplay.

Fallen Legion: Rise To Glory is a tactical RPG heading to Nintendo Switch on June 1st in Europe and May 29th in the US. Your decisions have consequences, so always be mindful of your options.

Assault Spy is an action title that was revealed to the world during the press event. Being developed by a huge team of one person, it looks to deliver a fun, fluid gameplay experience with eye-pleasing visuals. It launches in early access on Steam in May 2018.

The Lost Child from Kadokawa Games is heading to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Summer 2018. The game takes a lot of its influence and inspiration story wise from Cthulhu Mythos. Featuring 100+ astrals from myths and legends to capture that each have 3 unique forms acquirable through progression.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is still on the way to the Nintendo Switch, and I cannot wait. You can expect to take the wonderful world in Ys VIII on the go on Switch when it releases in the summer of this year.

SUDA51 and Grasshopper showed up to the press event via a trailer for The 25th Ward: The Silver Case, a visual novel finally making its way to the rest of the world. Previously it was only available in Japan and on mobile. Whilst remastering The Silver Case, SUDA mentions that he always had a remake for The 25th Ward in mind and be able to bring it to more gamers. It will release on PlayStation 4 and Steam, March 13th.

SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is launching in Summer of this year on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. It brings all your favourite SNK female characters together in a fighting game in which tag team encounters at the main focus.

As the press event was wrapping up, a final trailer aired, announcing Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk which comes to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam in Fall 2018.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Heading to Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Direct Mini that released mere hours ago brought with it the announcement that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is going to be heading to Nintendo Switch. The game has previously released on PS Vita, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a PC release coming this month.

The action role-playing game puts players in control of Adol, an adventurer who finds himself shipwrecked on an island inhabited by dangerous monsters. He must find the other survivors, bring them together and build a base. Expect to play the Nintendo Switch version sometime in the Summer of this year.
