Resident Evil 2 At 4K!

Back in 1998 one of the greatest sequels ever made graced our PlayStation, Resident Evil 2. Considered one of the best in the franchise and in my opinion, it holds that crowning top spot. It brought more action the table, 4 different ways to play-through and my favourite bad guy of the bunch. The tension created by just exploring the environment was palpable.

We follow Leon Kennedy, his first night on the job as a police officer and Claire Redfield, in town to visit her brother Chris who’s been uncharacteristically quiet of late. Leon and Claire have two playable campaigns each and there are also a couple secret ones played out by some secondary characters, like corporate saboteur Ada Wong for example.

The remake has changed a few things, opting to go with an over-the-shoulder perspective, first used in Resident Evil 4 …with a more mature Leon Kennedy (its like he’s brought it back from Eastern Europe with him) and the team stated at E3 that this remake will really shake things up, not everything will be where you expect it to be. So if you’re thinking – this will be easy, I remember where everything is from the original – think again.

It’s been confirmed that this glorious remake will be optimised for Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro running in 4K if you choose, however it won’t be able to play at 60fps this way.

Resident Evil 2 remake will release on January 25th, 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One.

E3 week is truly brimming with news and announcements, Bandai Namco took the opportunity to deliver a Story Trailer for their upcoming fighting game, Soulcalibur VI. At the end of the trailer we finally got the release date, October 19th, 2018.

More news came in the form of a look at the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions that will be available. The Deluxe Edition will come with the full game, metal case with built-in soundbox featuring 4 in-game voice-over snippets, soundtrack disc and the season pass.

Fallout 76 Coming Later This Year & Collector’s Edition Revealed

Fallout 76 was not only shown during Microsoft’s E3 Briefing earlier today but also during Bethesda’s E3 Showcase. During the massive look into what we can expect, we got treated to a release date. Fallout 76 is coming out November 14th, 2018.

“Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.”

It’s online but don’t worry, if you want to play solo you can, it might just be a little more difficult for you. Play with friends or on your own, but share in the online open-world with dozens of others in each ‘instance’. To keep the core aspect of apocalypse atmosphere, you won’t be finding hundreds of other players in the massive world.

Gain access to nuclear missiles and target any area on the map and cause mass destruction.

The Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition will include:

  • Full-Scale Wearable T-51 Power Armor Helmet with West Tek Canvas Carrying Bag: This wearable helmet faithfully replicates the in-game model and comes complete with voice modulator speaker, functioning LED head lamp, and custom V.A.T.S. sound feature.
  • Glow-in-the Dark World Terrain Map: This physical, fully-colorized 21”x 21” glow in the dark vintage map showcases the six distinct regions of West Virginia complete with irradiated landmarks, towns, and wildlife.
  • 24 Collectible Fallout Figurines: Crafted from in-game 3D models, these detailed miniatures bring Fallout 76’s Vault Dwellers, Power Armored Soldiers, Creatures, and more to life.
  • Tricentennial Edition Steelbook. Exclusive to the Power Armor Edition, this decorated metal case is the ultimate collectible celebrating America’s 300 years of freedom.
  • Fallout 76 Tricentennial Edition Bonus In-Game Items: Celebrate 300 years of freedom with the all-new Fallout 76 Tricentennial Edition, commemorating the opening of Vault 76. Be the talk of the town when you emerge from Vault 76 fully prepared and patriotically styled in the new American frontier!
  • Access to the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. (Break-It Early Test Application): Be one of the first to emerge into a new and untamed wasteland.
